Cuixmala, a collection of luxurious private villas and casitas, is located on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Built in 1988 by Sir James Goldsmith, Cuixmala was originally conceived as a private tropical hideaway for family and friends. It is now an eco-resort based on green culture and sustainability. Over the last twenty-six years, it’s guests have included Tom Cruise, George Lucas, and Madonna. Cuixmala means “the soul’s resting place” in Spanish and from what I can see, it indeed looks incredibly relaxing and restful. In addition to rest and relaxation, there is also an array of activities: snorkeling, horse-back riding, tennis, fishing, mountain biking, volleyball on the beach, surfing, and even a private yacht that can be rented. There are three categories of accommodations at Cuixmala. Casa Cuixmala is the boutique hotel located on the beach – all suites and bungalows. Then, there are three private villas with their own staff and pool. Finally, the Casitas, which is a collection of 10 one, two and three bedroom little houses set in a tropical garden and share a swimming pool and clubhouse. It is obviously a breathtaking resort, but it’s their reviews: “magical, unforgettable, outstanding, nothing short of superb” about their service and food that have me thinking, maybe Mexico is my next trip?
My bags are packed, too! Ah, but reality won’t let me go right now. But, one day!
I’M IN!! When do we leave?? :))) xoxo
I’m in agreement.
WOW is all I have to say.
