Have you been to Kitch Organic yet? Yes? Lucky you! No? You really should get over there as soon as possible! Open since October of last year, Kitch Organic is the creation of Joe Durso and what an achievement it is. On a residential street on Red Bank’s West Side, Joe has transformed what was once an abandoned liquor and convenience store into Red Bank’s coolest new eatery. There is a funky industrial vibe to the interior, but if you are sitting at the center table, you might feel like you are at a friend’s kitchen table. At Kitch, the food is 100 percent organic, and completely gluten, wheat and dairy-free. There are vegetarian, vegan and Paleo options available for eating in and takeout. The menu is surprisingly diverse with soup, salads, sandwiches, turkey or veggie burgers and a few entrees as well. Not being vegan, gluten, dairy free or vegetarian, I thought why would I go to Kitch? Then I thought, why not? That first try has turned into returning 3 more times in a 6 week period. Their fabulous, nutrient dense, clean food is prepared by Chef Jennifer Freeman, a graduate of Natural Gourmet in New York. As Kitch’s mantra says “Food is Fuel for Life”, and eating at Kitch you will be happily fueling yourself with the best fuel around. Trust me, Kitch Organic is a special place.
