These aren’t the first chunky knit merino wool blankets on the internet, but they are the only ones knit by a grandma and grandpa in Canada, handmade one at a time!
The resulting throw is hypo-allergenic and consists of approximately 3.5 pounds of low-shed, undyed natural wool. Wilburn imports and processes the wool and Nellie knits the throws on giant knitting needles crafted from wait-for-it pvc pipes and duct tape! How cool are they! To purchase, contact Meraki Merino.

They remind me a little of your grandma and gramps!
Very beautiful!! And how cute that they are made by a grandma and grandpa!
I might have to, too!
Thanks, Ames!
Love this!! Beautiful!!!
How totally great are these??? Might have to buy one! Love it! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
My pleasure, Wilburn and Nellie!
Hi Carrie – what a great post of our Merino wool Throw – just great.
Thanks so much – we will keep on knitting.
We also loved your dad’s post – all that canning – looks yummy and; love
your mom’s paintings.
Great to have family around – don’t know what we do without ours – love them all
Have a great day
