Denim and Bone is a fashion, art and design brand specializing in embroidered denim jackets, intricately beaded animal skulls and ceramic wall art.
Founder and creator Daisy Harkness started Denim and Bone on returning home to the Kent countryside from her travels. She spent three years exploring the world taking inspiration as she went. She returned with a collection of treasures from India, Thailand, and Bali including jewelry and fabrics. Daisy created her very first jacket for herself, using an old Levis denim jacket which she embellished with fabrics she found on her travels. Since then, Daisy has developed her jackets into highly intricate embroidered works of art, seen on the likes of Fearne Cotton, Candice Huffine, and Juliet Angus. Daisy’s beaded animal skulls have been on the walls of Liberty London and both her skulls and her ceramic wall art have been seen in Living Etc, Harpers Bazaar and Town and Country.
