Very early in our marriage, possibly even before we got married – who can remember, my sweet husband was very creative with birthday gifts for me. He knew I adored Audrey Hepburn and one of my favorite gifts from him was 8 (yes, eight) Audrey Hepburn movies! You can imagine my joy and happiness receiving My Fair Lady, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, A Nun’s Story, Wait Until Dark, Love in the Afternoon, Roman Holiday and Sabrina. My favorites are Love in the Afternoon, Wait Until Dark and Roman Holiday. I don’t think I know anyone who has seen Audrey in Love in the Afternoon with Gary Cooper and Maurice Chevalier or Wait Until Dark with Audrey, Alan Arkin and Richard Crenna. Audrey Hepburn was in 31 films in her lifetime. She was never less than extraordinary. A few of the movies were less than extraordinary, but certainly not because of her. Which one is your favorite?
