The Make Your Own Magnum Dipping Bar was in New York City the Summer of 2013 and I missed it! I promised myself that if it came back, I would absolutely not miss it a second time. Lo and behold, it has returned and I successfully Made My Own Magnum Bar! Starting with a vanilla bean or chocolate ice cream base, you can choose a dark, milk or white Belgian chocolate dip and then a selection of three custom toppings from an array of more than 20 premium ingredients, including Himalayan sea salt, rose petals, goji berries and more. I had a chocolate ice cream base dipped in dark chocolate (although who can remember after my fat-induced fog), sprinkled with espresso sugar, sea salt and gold flakes. Have you ever had salt on your ice cream? I never had it before, but I think it could become a very bad, or good habit – depending on how you look at it. Good doesn’t describe it. Delicious doesn’t either. How about decadent, but totally worth it? Or droolworthy beyond your wildest dreams? Or life altering? Whatever you want to call it, just go. The Magnum dipping bar is located at 134 Prince St. and is open daily from 12-9 p.m. only through Sunday, August 7. Put it on your calendar so you don’t forget! #noregrets!
